The Stakeholder Consultation brought together key representatives and institutions to deliberate on strategies for improving accessibility and inclusivity in the national capital. The event was chaired by the Hon’ble Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, in the august presence of the Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Smt. Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (special guest), along with senior dignitaries from CPWD, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya National Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilities, Punjab National Bank, and several NGOs working in the disability sector.

This Consultation was part of the ongoing Sugamya Dwarka Abhiyan , a 15-day community-led campaign aimed at transforming Dwarka into a model accessible sub-city.

As part of the campaign, the NBEMS office was surveyed for compliance with accessibility standards. It was found that the NBEMS building substantially meets the laid-down norms and guidelines for accessibility. In recognition of this, NBEMS was conferred a Certificate of Appreciation, which was received on behalf of the organization by the Joint Director (Administration) and Deputy Director (Administration) from the Hon’ble Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities.
