Subject: Regarding Validity of CET (Broad Specialty) Result

 

Sir/Madam,

 

This has reference to the above sited subject and letter dated 10/10/07 issued by National Board of Examinations.  Pursuant to the same, various representations have been received by Board seeking clarification in the matter.

 

Without prejudice to the absolute right of NBE to implement a revised scheme for CET for admission to DNB programme in future session, the issue of validity for DNB CET is clarified as follows:

 

 

(a)               The results of the CET will remain valid for period of 2 calendar years from the session of declaration i.e. candidates who have cleared CET latest upto December 2005 session are eligible for admission to the session beginning January 2008.

 

(b)               For admission to DNB session January 2008, the validity of all previously issued certificates may be examined in view of clause (a) above. (i.e. passing certificates issued for DNB CET December 2005 session onwards are valid for admission in January 2008 session)

 

(c)               Accredited institutions may kindly ensure that candidates possessing a valid CET result certificate are assessed for admission to DNB Programme in compliance of guidelines as contained in Information Bulletin of CET, December, 2007.
