Sub: Cut Off Date To Submit Thesis To NBE – Compliance regarding
1. Thesis submission and its acceptance are mandatory requirements towards fulfillment of partial criteria for award of DNB degree certificate.
2. It is essential for all DNB candidates to submit their thesis within the time limit as prescribed by National Board of Examinations (NBE), namely, candidates appearing in June and December session of DNB final examination are required to submit their theses by the preceding 31st December and 30th June respectively.
3. As already informed through web notice dated 11-04-2012, all DNB candidates who are due to appear in DNB final examination to be held in June 2013 are required to submit their theses before 31st December 2012.
4. Candidates are accordingly advised to submit their theses by 31-12-2012 along with duly completed thesis submission form, NBE copy of challan/pay-in-slip towards payment of prescribed thesis submission fee, summary of thesis and other necessary enclosures. In exceptional cases, the thesis may be submitted up to 31st January 2013 along with an additional late fee of Rs. 2000/-.
5. All concerned may note that in case the candidate fails to submit his/her thesis on/before the aforementioned cut off date, he/she may not be allowed to appear in DNB final examination.
6. The concerned Heads of Accredited Hospitals/Institutes and DNB Program coordinators and Thesis Supervisors may ensure that the theses are submitted by the candidates within the prescribed cut off date. The compliance of the above guidelines shall be monitored by NBE and non compliance may have an adverse impact on the renewal of accreditation.
