Subject : DNB Final Examinations (Broad and Super Specialties) – regarding

 

 

Kind Attention: All DNB Candidates

 

 

1.                 The DNB Final Examinations is a two phase examination comprising of  Theory and Practical examinations. 

 

2.                 The Theory Examinations for Broad and Super Specialties comprises of four and three question papers respectively. 

 

3.                  Each question paper has a maximum of 100 marks.

 

4.                  A candidate has to score a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers to be declared pass in the theory examination.  It is not necessary to pass individually in each paper.

 

5.                  A maximum of up to 8 marks grace is given to candidates in Broad Specialties.

 

6.                  A maximum of up to 6 marks grace is given to candidates in Super Specialties.

 

7.                There is no provision of ‘rounding off’ of marks obtained in fraction by candidates.  For example 52 ½ shall remain 52 ½ and shall not be rounded off to 53.

 

8.                Candidates declared pass in theory examination are eligible to appear in the practical examination.

 

9.                The practical examination for Broad and Super Specialties comprises of maximum of 300 marks and a candidate has to score a minimum of 150 marks out of 300 to be declared as pass.

 

10.           There is no provision of award of grace marks in DNB Practical Examinations.
